DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin was on “Fox News Sunday” with host Shannon Bream to talk about ICE operations. Secretary Mullin explained that his agency is simply enforcing the laws that Congress made. Leftist sanctuary politicians have been critical of ICE operations, yet they ignore the victims, including law enforcement officers that have repeatedly been attacked. A news clip was shown of New York Governor Kathy Hochul criticizing ICE for shooting into a vehicle, even though an illegal alien was endangering the lives of the law enforcement officers who were pursuing him.
“Let’s start with that case, Oscar Belgal, the shooting on Thursday. Here is how Governor Kathy Hochul, there in New York, describes what happened,” Bream said. “She says she asked you to issue an order that agents not fire into cars. What’s the policy? Will we see bodycam or other footage that may be available?” Bream asked. “Let me back up on this. When the Governor, the Mayor, all these career, sanctuary politicians, not one of them said anything when their own, the NYPD officer, that was also stabbed seven times in this same neighborhood, in the Bronx, just last week. They were completely silent,” Mullin said.
