At least 10 US service members were injured in an attack on Prince Sultan Airbase in Saudi Arabia on Friday. The Wall Street Journal and CBS News reported that an Iranian missile struck the air base, wounding up to 10 US service members. According to CBS News, two American service members were very seriously injured and eight were seriously injured. The Wall Street Journal reported:
Ten American servicemembers were wounded in an Iranian attack on the Prince Sultan air base in Saudi Arabia Friday, according to multiple U.S. and Arab officials. Two of the servicemembers are considered seriously wounded, the officials said. The injured servicemembers were inside a building on the base that was struck in the attack, the officials said. The attack also damaged multiple U.S. refueling aircraft. At least one missile struck the base, as well as several unmanned aerial vehicles, according to two of the officials. The missile strike is at least the second to strike the base during the war against Iran. Five refueling aircraft were damaged in an earlier strike, the Journal reported.
