War Secretary Pete Hegseth is coming under fire after it was revealed in a financial disclosure that his wife was paid by a Washington consulting firm while he was serving in the top Pentagon post.

Hegseth has become a top target for Democratic lawmakers as they threaten investigations against Trump Administration officials.

Last night, Rep. Chris Delusio (D-PA) declared that “Pete Hegseth should be gone as defense secretary” over the war in Iran, noting that he plans to push for “real oversight.” He further said he wants to impeach Hegseth if President Trump does not fire him.

On Wednesday, Rep. Jason Crow (D-CO) said in an angry social media video, “I’m going after Pete Hegseth,” accusing him of “undermining our national security and the safety of our troops.”

“Everything from threatening to do live executions, via live stream, to disparaging women and folks of color, and undermining our national security at every turn,” he said. “I’m going to be relentless night and day to get him out of the Pentagon and to restore the culture of respect and diversity in our military.”

Now, it’s being reported that Hegseth’s wife, Jennifer, who has taken on a role as a de facto advisor and media strategist for her husband, even reportedly sitting in on high-level meetings, was paid an undisclosed sum of money by a top Trump-connected DC lobbying firm that has provided consulting to defense contractors, including Lockheed Martin.
