Woman arrested in biting of park jogger


A woman suspected of biting a jogger at an East Bay regional park in a dispute over a dog attack has been arrested, authorities said Saturday.

Oakland resident Alma Cadwalader, 19, was arrested on Friday and booked in the Santa Rita Jail for allegedly accosting the jogger around 10:25 a.m. Thursday at Anthony Chabot Regional Park, East Bay Regional Park District police said.

Cadwalader’s dog had previously attacked the jogger, who was able to defend herself with pepper spray. Later, Cadwalader allegedly punched and bit the victim, causing significant injuries.
