Bnei Brak – the coronavirus capital of the Jewish state
There are police checkpoints placed at key entrances to the city, special riot police units patrol the streets, and regular police ensure compliance with government orders. People are being asked to show their IDs before entering the city, and only residents are allowed to enter. This is now the situation in Bnei Brak, the capital of the ultra-Orthodox community in Israel, the city of Torah and famed yeshivot, and seat of the most revered and most learned ultra-Orthodox rabbis of the entire world.
