ANTI-TRUMP LEADER EXPOSED AS SERIAL PERVERT-GROUP COVERED FOR HIM

The New York Post:

Lincoln Project leaders were reportedly informed in writing and phone calls of at least 10 specific allegations of harassment against John Weaver as early as June.

Lincoln Project co-founder Steve Schmidt has said the organization was never aware of the allegations against Weaver.

Two former Lincoln Project interns have come forward with lurid text messages they allegedly received from co-founder John Weaver.

Weaver allegedly preyed on Alex Johnson, a senior at the University of Texas at Austin, and Charlie Stephens, who attends Louisiana State University, last year as he recruited them as interns to his anti-Donald Trump super PAC.

“Would like to put you in touch with some of our folks,” Weaver wrote to Johnson in April, the student told New York Magazine.

Fifteen minutes later, Weaver allegedly added, “On [your] walk, think about worshipping a big c–k and having yours worshipped and you rimmed till you beg!”

In phone calls, Weaver also tried to initiate phone sex, Johnson said.

“We were talking about the Lincoln Project, and maybe getting me involved, and of course I think that’s awesome. I’m like, ‘Oh, yeah, that would be great!’” Johnson said. “Then he asked me: ‘When’s the last time you jacked off?’”

Once Johnson took the internship with Lincoln Project, Weaver continued with the creepy messages: “Are you top, bottom, versa?” he asked.

“His messages never stopped. And I would play along, just to be nice,” Johnson explained. “Because I knew, I mean, he’s important. Like he has the strings. And we operate in the same kind of political culture of being ‘Never Trumpers.’”

Weaver also allegedly began hitting on Stephens, then 19, in June when he messaged him on Twitter to ask if he or any “peers” would be interested in an internship “to help kick the s–t out of Trump and against Senate Republican incumbents.”

When Stephens replied a week later saying he had formally applied, Weaver allegedly wrote back, “You are a f—ing stud!”

Stephens replied that that was “quite the compliment,” to which Weaver responded, “Take it! Hell, you may very well be ;).”

On Thursday, the Associated Press reported that Lincoln Project leaders were informed in writing and phone calls of at least 10 specific allegations of harassment against Weaver as early as June.

The revelation calls into question the organization’s statement last month that it was “shocked” as the accusations against Weaver were made public.

The Lincoln Project — best known for raising millions to fund the “Never Trump” movement — announced plans late Thursday to launch an external probe into Weaver’s tenure.
