Son admits beating mother with bat, burning body into ‘fine ash’
A Connecticut man charged with killing his mother told police he beat her with a baseball bat before burning her body in a fire pit for eight hours, turning her into “fine ash,” according to an arrest warrant.
Kyle Tucker, 34, told police in Hamden he killed Donna Tucker, 60, because he was possessed by God, police records obtained by the New Haven Register.
“[God] got into my body and walked me downstairs with my baseball bat and it was very quick and almost even hard to remember,” Kyle Tucker told police. “I don’t really feel like it was totally my mind or body doing anything, it was [God] walking through me.”
Tucker said he killed his mother in self-defense after she tried more than 20 times to kill him. He claimed Donna Tucker unsuccessfully tried poisoning him, as well as putting parasites into his bedding and food, according to the arrest warrant.
