The hunt for a suspect has now gone international after a nursing student was found dead inside her off-campus home near SUNY Binghamton.
The body of 22-year-old Haley Anderson was found Friday afternoon after police discovered her during a welfare check, Binghamton Police said in a statement.
An autopsy determined the cause of death to be homicide but police will not release any additional details about how she was killed.
Investigators are now searching for the suspect, Orlando Tercero, 22, who police say took a flight out of John F. Kennedy International Airport to Nicaragua hours before Anderson’s body was found, WBNG reports.
