Two ex-Fox News employees who received settlements suing network, Bill O’Reilly for defamation

NEW YORK DAILY NEWS – JAMES FANELLI

Two former Fox News employees who received settlements after complaining about Bill O’Reilly’s sexual harassment are suing the network and the conservative talkshow host for publicly trashing them and casting them as liars.

Attorneys for Rebecca Gomez Diamond and Andrea Mackris announced Wednesday that the women had joined a defamation lawsuit that former Fox News producer Rachel Witlieb Bernstein filed earlier this month in Manhattan Federal Court.

Diamond and Mackris — like Bernstein — said both Fox News and O’Reilly have tried to paint them as opportunists seeking a payday from a celebrity.

Diamond, Mackris and Bernstein were identified in a New York Times story on April 1 as three of five women to whom O’Reilly paid settlements over sex harassment accusations.
