NEW YORK DAILY NEWS – CHRISTOPHER BRENNAN
A Texas police sergeant has been fired after video captured his command to a rookie officer to use a Taser on a woman who had called for help.
Sgt. Kenneth Pierce, a 22-year veteran in Fort Worth, was with the unidentified younger officer in August when they responded to a home where a woman said she was threatened.
A 12-minute clip captured with the rookie’s body camera saw them confront both the caller and a man. The officers started a physical confrontation when she would not give her ID and insisted she had done nothing wrong.
The woman was shocked with the Taser after Pierce gave the order, with the younger officer later threatening to Taser her twice more and saying “I don’t give a f— right now” as she was led to a police cruiser.
