NEW YORK POST – YARON STEINBUCH
A Palestinian man was shot Friday after stabbing an Israeli border police officer in the West Bank – the latest violent fallout of President Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as the Jewish state’s capital.
The assailant, Mahmoud Iman, 19, who stabbed the officer in his shoulder during clashes, was evacuated by the Red Crescent in serious condition, according to The Jerusalem Post.
A picture of Iman in Ramalla showed him wearing what may have been an explosive vest.
Israeli police officials said they are investigating the possibility that the attacker infiltrated the area pretending to be a journalist before stabbing the officer.
