BREITBART – WARNER TODD HUSTON
A Chicago man was arrested after police allege he viciously stabbed his brother-in-law at least 25 times and disemboweled him on a city bus in front of startled passengers.
Chicago police arrested Darnell R. Scott, 37, based on witnesses and city bus surveillance video that they say proves he initiated the attack on the evening of November 31 as the bus traveled near the 300 block of West 63rd Street. A judge denied bail for Scott due to the viciousness of the crime.
The victim, Scott’s brother-in-law, suffered grievous wounds to his stomach, arms, legs, neck and even the back of his head. First responders found the victim partially disemboweled by the attack according to the Chicago Tribune. He is at Stroger hospital in critical condition.
After an investigation, police discovered that the two men have a strained relationship and when Scott walked past his brother-in-law without acknowledging him, the man confronted Scott over the slight. An argument ensued during which Scott attacked the man with a two-inch pocket knife. The hospitalized victim also told police he demanded to know if Scott had recently sent men to “jump him.”
