BREITBART – JOHN BINDER
The jury that found 32-year-old Kate Steinle’s illegal alien killer not guilty of first and second-degree murder or negligent homicide was not sequestered and was stacked with millennial Americans, including some legal immigrants.
On Thursday, the jury in the Steinle murder trial found five-time deported and seven-time felon illegal alien Jose Garcia Zarate, also known as Juan Francisco López-Sánchez, not guilty on homicide charges that he murdered the woman, despite his previous admission to shooting and killing Steinle while she was walking on a pier with her father.
In a mid-October profile of the jurors selected to serve on the Steinle murder case, the Mercury News revealed that six of the jurors were men and six were women. Of those 12 jurors, three were immigrants.
The report also revealed that most of the jurors appeared to be in their 20’s and 30’s, with the pool of individuals including at least two tech workers, and degrees ranging from high school diplomas to PhDs. The Mercury News described the jury as “a cross-section of today’s San Francisco” where the foreign-born population is more than 30 percent of the overall county population.
